NYC Nov. 2018

I visited New York City for the first time on October 4, 2018. I went with a good friend of mine who wanted to go back to the city. After traveling for 6 months and then being confined to the small town I grew up in and the larger city I called home for college that was 30 minutes away, I was eager to travel again. I was hoping that I would love it more than anything because I LOVED London and wanted to call NYC home after I graduate this May. Spoiler alert! I Loved New York just as much as I loved London and will be going back in March!

The flight from Cincinnati to Queens, New York went pretty smooth. Savannah and I landed at LGA the night of the 4th then got a shuttle to our comfort Inn hotel. Once we checked in, we dropped our bags and took an uber to Budubs to get a few drinks after a long day! There we met the NICEST 4 Polish students anyone could ask for.

The events of the next several days are as follows:

1. I got stood up at Joe's Coffee by a mentor.

2. We tried New York pizza for the first time and I had to learn that a full pizza is apparently called a pie, with a slice of cheese being a regular.

3. We saw the friend's location and ground zero. So many emotions during that visit.

4. Grand Central Station really IS as beautiful as it seems in photographs

5. Central Park is a lot bigger than I thought, but also beautiful. I will definitely spend more time there in March!

6. We took a boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty!

7. Walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and had some amazing photo opportunities!

8. We saw Time Square at night, and if I'm being honest, it was 10x better than the West end of London.

9. However, Chinatown in NYC--- doesn't compare to Chinatown in London, sorry New Yorkers!

Adventures for March 2019:

1. Check out the amazing food scene in the city

2. Explore more of Brooklyn and East Village Manhattan as well as Queens.

3. Meet other travel bloggers!

4. See Xavier Play at Madison Square Garden for the Big East Tournament.

and next year-

1. Go to a NY Rangers game.
